Postal Malaysia loses more than 30 million again

Pos Malaysia failed to get out of the quagmire of losses, with a net loss of RM33.34 million in the third quarter of fiscal year 2023 (as of the end of September), compared with a net loss of RM33.63 million in the same period last year. There was no improvement in performance.

At the same time, the company’s revenue in the third quarter was RM461.71 million, a year-on-year decrease of 6.16%.

In the first nine months of this year, Pos Malaysia had a total net loss of RM88.01 million, a year-on-year increase of 27.09% from the net loss of RM69.25 million in the same period last year. Its revenue fell 5.65% year-on-year to RM1.4918 billion.

Pos Pos Malaysia chief executive officer Charles Brewer said in a statement that the company remains focused on driving its transformation plan in the face of macro and domestic challenges.
