Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the Central Database Centre (Padu) has changed the way data is managed in Malaysia. PADU centralizes data from 455 public sector agencies, eliminating the need for the public to fill out nearly identical documents for multiple agencies.

Fahmi encourages the public to join Padu through https://www.padu.gov.my/ , emphasizing its convenience. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said that the introduction of Padu is in line with the national digital transformation policy and eligible beneficiaries will enjoy government facilities.

PADU is a national comprehensive socio-economic database that collects data from government agencies to provide a fair socio-economic profile. The public can update and confirm 39 items of personal information during the registration period.
