Embraer is in talks with Asia-Pacific airlines for E-Jets to meet growing demand for narrow-body aircraft in the region.

E-Jets are very popular because they are particularly suitable for urban airports. Embraer has nearly 20 operators in the Asia-Pacific region with about 200 E-Jets. It is expected that Singapore Airlines Scoot and SKS Airlines will operate the latest generation E190-E2 and E195-E2 aircraft in Malaysia in 2024.

The aviation industry faces risks from inflation and rising costs, with airlines pursuing efficient aircraft to expand their networks and control costs and cash flow. IATA predicts that the aviation industry’s net profit will be US$25.7 billion in 2024, and total revenue will hit a record, reaching US$964 billion. This year, the number of trips is expected to reach a record high.
