CelcomDigi, SoftBank and SC-NEX sign an agreement to enable digitalization

Malaysian telecommunications company CelcomDigi has partnered with SoftBank and its subsidiary SC-NEX to accelerate the digital transformation of Malaysian enterprises by adopting the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0) solution.

CelcomDigi will leverage SoftBank and SC-NEX’s expertise in artificial intelligence, robotics and analytics solutions to focus on agritech and smart city solutions, involving the application of drones and artificial intelligence in agriculture, as well as the development and management of buildings. This partnership will accelerate Malaysian businesses’ access to transformative technologies and unlock their business potential.

Kimimasa Kudo, Vice President of SoftBank, said they have developed leading smart building solutions that contribute to the sustainable growth of the Malaysian industry.

Jun Okawara, CEO of SC-NEX, said that the tripartite cooperation will be strengthened with a wealth of innovative experience to achieve the goal of improving the lives of Malaysians. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Minister of Communications, Fahmi Fazil.
