The Malaysian Solar Photovoltaic Industry Association (MPIA) launched the “MPIA Solar Roadshow 2024” to align with the government’s 2030 renewable energy share target.
Zhang Junxiong, chairman of MPIA, said that the roadshow was themed on grid liberalization and discussed “grid readiness to achieve energy transformation and explore the prospects of electric vehicles.” Representatives from several government agencies will participate in the discussion. Mohd Rashidan, Chairman of the Energy Commission, said that he hopes that solar energy production capacity will increase to 65% in the future and become the main energy source.
The first event attracted 350 people, and roadshows will be launched in Johor, Penang, Pahang and Selangor from March to September.
