Techna-X Bhd acquired a 51% stake in Netsec Sdn Bhd for US$250 million and formed a joint venture to strengthen its efforts in the cybersecurity sector.
The cybersecurity market in Southeast Asia is expected to reach $4.49 billion by 2024. Techna-X’s Executive Chairman said the collaboration will integrate digital expertise and the experience of cybersecurity professionals to strengthen Malaysia’s and region’s capabilities in the cybersecurity sector.
Netsec managing director Azman M Azizi said the partnership with Techna-X is a key step in accessing the wider market, leveraging digital expertise and market influence. He emphasized that it is a convergence of strengths that can make a significant impact in the dynamic world of cybersecurity.
