Equalbase plans to invest RM300 million to build its first carbon-neutral logistics complex in Valdor, Penang, called Valdor I. Spanning over 4.6 hectares and over 600,000 square feet, the project uses carbon-cured concrete to achieve %以上的能源效率,相较于马来西亚平均仓库,二氧化碳排放减少30%.
Scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2025, Valdor I is located 6 km from Batu Kawi Industrial Park and more than 30 km from Penang International Airport. Equalbase, which has invested US$400 million in more than 4 million square feet of warehouse space in Malaysia, said it would offset embodied carbon emissions by producing 4,620 megawatt-hours of solar energy annually over 40 years.
