CelcomDigi has partnered with Ampang Jaya City Council (MPAJ) to digitize Hulu Kelang to accelerate the transformation to a smart city. This decade of collaboration will explore and implement 5G technology solutions to build smart city ecosystems that boost residents’ livelihoods and businesses.
Datuk Idham Nawawi, CEO of CelcomDigi, said they will work together to evaluate the best solutions to create a modern and sustainable environment that promotes economic growth and improves the well-being of residents. The collaboration supports MPAJ’s Smart Cities Framework, which focuses on smart infrastructure, economy, community, environment, and governance.
CelcomDigi will also lead the establishment of a sandbox that will bring together smart city solutions from all parties and implement them in Hulu Kelang. MPAJ has installed CCTV, Wi-Fi, and smart connectivity solutions within its administrative area.
