Malaysia’s first smart AI container port will be built in Port Dickson at an estimated cost of RM2 billion and will be borne by Midports Holdings Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Tanco Holdings Bhd.

The port has a 1.8-kilometer-long quay and an 80.93-hectare operating area equipped with automatically operated gantry cranes. The port can receive all types of container ships and is expected to create 5,000 new jobs.

Due to its proximity to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the port can boost the country’s logistics and maritime services industry. Using artificial intelligence technology, port operations will be more efficient and reduce errors and accidents.
