According to Bernama, the Ministry of Communications of Malaysia has good cooperation with Telegram to jointly solve network security issues, including removing scams, online gambling and copyright infringement content.
But the Minister of Communications also pointed out that after one channel is closed, another channel may appear on Telegram, especially for online gambling operators. Therefore, they are exploring more sustainable ways to combat these issues, not only for Telegram but also for other social media and online messaging apps.
