80 companies at Dubai Gulf Food Exhibition generate sales of 1.5 billion

80 Malaysian companies participated in Gulfood 2024, with total sales reaching RM1.49 billion, a year-on-year increase of 57.9%.

The Malaysian External Trade Development Agency (MATRADE) stated that the number of exhibitors increased to 80 and the exhibition period was extended to 5 days, driving sales growth. Among them, actual sales were RM579.1 million and potential sales were RM916.75 million. Palm oil sales were the highest at RM877.5 million.

Malaysian exhibitors conducted 10,622 business matches with importers and distributors in the MENA region. Gulfood is an important platform to explore export and cooperation opportunities and showcase products and services.

During his visit to Dubai, MATRADE Chairman witnessed the signing of memorandums of understanding between Malaysia and international companies to further promote Malaysian products into the Middle East market.
