Malaysia receives RM46 billion in potential investments

Malaysia recently sent a trade and investment mission to Germany and France, which are expected to generate RM46 billion in investment and RM2.4 billion in export opportunities.

Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz, who led the delegation, said participating companies include X-Fab, Melexis, Infineon Technologies, Airbus, SCHOTT Glass, BMW, Nexperia and others. He emphasized the important contribution of these companies to the Malaysian economy, especially in terms of technology transfer and employment.

During the bilateral meeting, the energy transition, green economy and the possibility of relaunching the free trade agreement with the EU were discussed with French representatives.

The mission, which took place in Berlin, Hamburg, Germany, and Paris, France, from March 11 to yesterday, coincided with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s official visit to Germany.
