MTDC provides financing facilities through National Technology and Innovation Sandbox Program

The Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) has approved allocations of RM101.33 million to 112 technology companies to develop, validate and commercialize products, technologies and services. Funding comes from the National Technology and Innovation Sandbox Programme.

Since 2020, a total of 268 projects have applied for funding, covering drones, 4IR, agriculture and health technologies. To date, 32 local projects have been commercialized with a total value of RM88.4 million, and 4 products have been exported. The Deputy Minister of Science and Technology stated in the Senate that a total of RM274 million has been invested in innovative projects and is committed to promoting an environment for the application of new technologies.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture said there will be further discussions with the state government on the inclusion of special events in the national tourism calendar to increase domestic and foreign tourist attractions.
