Nextgreen IOI Pulp Sdn Bhd was jointly established by Green Source Global and IOI Group, investing RM600 million to build the country’s first zero-waste paper company.
They will develop a pulp production facility at the Pahang Green Technology Park, using Luyuan Global’s PRC-RBMP technology to turn empty fruit bunches into pulp. The initial production capacity is 100,000 tons per year and is expected to start contributing in 2026.
The company has signed a letter of intent to cooperate with Japanese company Marubeni to explore cooperation opportunities with Chinese customers. The cooperation aims to convert agricultural waste into sustainable green products and help IOI Group achieve its net-zero emission goal.
