The Ministry of Science and Technology will launch a single window program to streamline processes and consolidate resources to strengthen the Malaysian startup ecosystem.

Minister Zhang Likang said the move would remove bureaucratic hurdles, speed up approvals and make it easier for entrepreneurs to embark on their entrepreneurial journey. He said this was crucial to achieving the KL20 summit goals and mentioned the Malaysia Startup Ecosystem Roadmap (SUPER), which addresses key areas such as talent, funding, market access and technological innovation.

The government is committed to attracting foreign investors to make Malaysia ideal for digital businesses and has emphasized the importance of working with the private sector to provide diversified financing options.

The KL20 Summit will be held in Kuala Lumpur on April 22-23, 2024. The Prime Minister will launch the summit and the KL20 Action Document to promote the development of Malaysia’s start-up technology industry.
