Japanese companies are optimistic about Malaysia and intend to invest in new areas

Katsuhiko Takahashi, Japan’s ambassador to Malaysia, said Japan plans to increase investment in Malaysia, especially in the areas of retail, green energy and digital industries.

He pointed out that Malaysia’s multiculturalism and stable environment attracted Japanese companies. Currently, 1,600 Japanese companies are operating in Malaysia. In addition, clean energy and manufacturing are also potential areas for cooperation.

Katsuhiko Takahashi believes that strengthening cooperation between Japan and Malaysia will help address global challenges and achieve common prosperity.
