Malaysia’s Ministry of Energy Transformation and Water Transformation (PETRA) said today that the government has agreed to establish the Energy Exchange Malaysia (ENEGEM) to facilitate green power trading with neighboring countries.

The ENEGEM platform will launch a tender process to purchase green electricity supply from Malaysia to Singapore. The initiative is in line with the Energy Transition Roadmap and is conducted in accordance with the Guidelines for Cross-Border Electricity Sales. Interested renewable energy bidders can register to participate through the PETRA website.

This initiative will strengthen the cross-border electricity supply framework and promote renewable energy trade and cooperation among ASEAN countries.
