Malaysia will establish Southeast Asia’s largest integrated circuit design center in Selangor

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today announced the establishment of Southeast Asia’s largest integrated circuit design center in Selangor. He said the IC Design Park will attract first-class tenants and is supported by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC) and the Selangor government.

He pointed out at the 2024 KL20 Summit that in order to make Malaysia a gateway to major economies, urban connections between Kuala Lumpur and Hangzhou will be strengthened to remove barriers to capital, talent and market access.

He also said the government is working hard to make Malaysia a world leader in semiconductors, clean energy, agritech and Islamic fintech.
