There is an increasing demand for engineers and skilled professionals in Malaysia

Malaysia’s Human Resources Minister Sim Chee Keong revealed that the energy transition is an important area and that the energy transition sector in Sarawak is expected to be an industry of more than RM300 billion by 2030, requiring a large number of engineers and skilled professionals.

He said the Ministry of Human Resources signed a Letter of Intent with Sarawak University of Technology through the Human Resources Development Agency (HRD) to launch a new partnership to support the Sarawak government and Sarawak University of Science and Technology in implementing plans in the field of energy transition. The Ministry of Human Resources will also provide assistance in terms of networking, information and financial resources to fully support the training of technical talents at the Sarawak University of Science and Technology and Sarawak.
