Maxis is investigating a possible cybersecurity vulnerability in its systems. A hacker group claimed to have gained access to its data, but Maxis found no information related to its own systems. However, the company discovered possible unauthorized access to its third-party vendor’s systems.
Maxis stressed that the system was outside the internal network. The company is working with the supplier to investigate and has notified the appropriate authorities. To enhance system robustness, Maxis takes additional defensive measures and emphasizes that customer privacy and security are of paramount importance. The company will continue to provide updates on the progress of the investigation.
