Proton’s first seven-seater SUV, the X90, has officially entered the Bangladeshi market. Proton plans to cooperate with local partners in Bangladesh and invest US$100 million to build a new factory there to produce new cars such as the X90.

The X90 is available in two versions: seven-seater Premium and six-seater Flagship, priced at Tk 4.59 million and Tk 4.99 million respectively. The first batch of imported vehicles will be priced at a higher price, but with local production, prices may fall.

Proton CEO Li Chunrong came to Bangladesh to host the new car launch ceremony and cooperated with local agent Rancon to build a sales and after-sales service network. The production line is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
