Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said Sarawak has emerged as a major renewable energy hub in Southeast Asia, supplying green energy to Singapore and Peninsular Malaysia through undersea cables. Sarawak is also building a dam in Kalimantan to provide green energy to Indonesia’s new capital.

As the host of the 2025 ASEAN Summit, Malaysia will host ASEAN events in Kuching, providing opportunities to invest in and visit Sarawak. Sarawak’s potential as a hub for green hydrogen production and development will be showcased at ASEAN events next year.
