MOHE and UTM partner to develop first Artificial Intelligence Academy

The Ministry of Higher Education has collaborated with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to develop Malaysia’s first Artificial Intelligence Academy to meet current needs.

Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said the college has been approved to offer a bachelor’s degree program in artificial intelligence and the first batch of students is expected to start studying in October this year.

He pointed out that the course has been developed taking into account industry needs and follows the National Artificial Intelligence Roadmap 2021-2025 formulated by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Zambry said that the Ministry of Education is committed to cultivating graduates who can adapt to the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era and prepare for the future market facing technological needs.
