Malaysia is short of 12,000 network specialists CCoE to help improve skills level

Malaysia has a shortage of approximately 12,000 cybersecurity professionals and will need 25,000 by 2025. The BlackBerry Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCoE) is expected to assist in achieving this goal.

Prime Minister Anwar said the center will train personnel, strengthen intelligence sharing and promote regional cooperation. The government is actively attracting foreign investment, reaching RM329.5 billion in 2023, reflecting increased investor confidence.

Communications Minister Fami announced that he will discuss Malaysia’s second 5G network with the Ministry of Digital and Finance.
