Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi pointed out that Digital AgTech systems worth about RM20,000 each will be installed in 500 locations across the country.

Digital AgTech is one of the projects of the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), aiming to improve digital applications in the agricultural sector. The system is equipped with Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities to ensure farmers can adopt digital technologies.

Prime Minister Anwar has high hopes for the Digital AgTech team, hoping that it can increase rice production and increase farmers’ income. Fami revealed that Digital AgTech is one of the nine projects under the Digital Malaysia Catalytic Initiative (PEMANGKIN), and MDEC is focusing on promoting this initiative.
