The Sabah state government and Huawei Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly promote Sabah’s digital transformation plan. Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Haji Zeno witnessed the signing of the memorandum at Huawei’s headquarters and said that this cooperation will quickly advance Sabah’s digitalization process and bring huge changes to the future.
Areas of cooperation include agriculture, Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing, tourism, smart city planning, e-commerce, digital infrastructure, and interconnection and digitization among government agencies. Sun Luyuan, CEO of Huawei Technologies Malaysia, said Huawei is ready to fully support Sabah’s digital vision and help build a smart, digitally innovative and sustainable state.
The memorandum aims to promote the implementation of artificial intelligence and data-driven digital services, covering governments, enterprises and communities.
