The Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), in partnership with the Kedah state government, attracted RM7.7 billion in investments in the first nine months of 2023, mainly covering manufacturing, tourism, logistics, agriculture and the digital economy.

Kedah thanked NCIA for its commitment to economic growth and sustainable investment, emphasizing its support for innovation and local talent development.

The NCIA CEO said talent development through Dana Usahawan (DU@NCER) and NCER Talent Enhancement Program (NTEP) is key to socio-economic development and cultivating local talent involves not only skill training but also instilling an entrepreneurial mindset.

NCIA’s human capital development program has helped more than 19,000 businesses in Kedah, created more than 2,300 job opportunities, and worked to strengthen the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) ecosystem through the provision of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
