Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said that global Muslim food expenditure will reach US$1.38 trillion by 2024. By 2030, 60% of the world’s 2 billion Muslims will be young people, and they are leading the way to become a healthy and hygienic halal. and synonymous with ethical management.

Speaking at the 2nd Global Muslim Business Forum, Fadillah said the government recognizes the inherent value of halal certification to ensure that pharmaceuticals, nutritional products, cosmetics, etc. meet the highest halal standards. He emphasized that this commitment encourages major players in the industry to invest in halal production lines to ensure that the products gain trust globally.

As environmental awareness increases and demand for plant-based and healthy foods rises, halal-certified products are also expanding rapidly.
