Malaysia secures investment commitments worth RM347 billion from overseas

Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar has successfully secured investment commitments of RM347 billion in China, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the United States through official visits and government delegations.

Anwar said that this is the result of the efforts of government agencies, and when submitting the Supply Bill 2024, he emphasized that this large-scale investment is exciting. He pointed out that the government has approved investments of RM132.6 billion in the first half of 2023, accounting for more than 60% of the full-year target.

Anwar also pointed to gross domestic product (GDP) growth of 3.9%, inflation falling to 1.8% and unemployment falling to 3.4%. He said the government had implemented clear and strong policies.
