Sabah hopes to partner with foreign investors to explore blue economy

Sabah Chief Minister Haji Jinur said that the Sabah government welcomes cooperation with foreign investors with professional knowledge to jointly explore the blue economy. This sector includes fisheries, shipping, tourism, renewable energy, biotechnology, blue carbon and more.

He believes that Sabah has the potential of marine resources, especially in fish farming and seafood, and hopes to achieve economic development, create jobs and improve living standards through the blue economy. Al-Hajjji also called on investors to consider investments in the energy sector, including fossil fuels and renewable energy.

He emphasized that blue economy is an important concept for sustainable use of marine resources to promote economic growth.
