Selangor Menteri Besar Amiruddin said the state government aims to attract RM50 billion in investment in 2024, exceeding last year’s RM45 billion, to promote economic development. The goal is to increase Selangor’s contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) by 0.5%, thereby increasing its share of the GDP from 25% to 26%. This move is to improve the economic situation and ensure that Selangor continues to be the engine of Malaysia’s economic development.

Amirudin also said regarding the Shah Alam Stadium demolition plan that he was discussing with Tenaga Nasional Bhd to relocate the substation to avoid interruption of power supply. He pointed out that the new substation could take a year to build, so relocation is planned first, followed by demolition work.
