Edelteq signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with a local Chinese company for semiconductor-related companies

Edelteq Holdings Bhd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Changyuan Semiconductor Equipment (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd. to set up two semiconductor-related business companies in China and Malaysia.

The agreement covers the design and manufacture of semiconductor equipment and the sale of automated optical inspection of substrate wafers. In Malaysia, Edelteq will hold a 51% stake in the design, manufacture and sale of semiconductor equipment and IGBT module packaging machines.

In addition, it signed a memorandum of understanding with Halo Technologies, a local optical inspection system company, to establish a business involving the design, manufacture and sale of automated optical inspection systems for substrates in semiconductors. The purpose of this partnership is to expand the semiconductor business in Japan and overseas.
