Samaiden has been awarded a RM100 million EPCC contract to build a 50 MW solar power plant

Samaiden Group Bhd has been awarded a RM100 million contract for the construction of a 50 megawatt solar power plant (Phase 1) at the Kulim Hi-Tech Park in Kedah. The contract price of RM92 million is the contract price, and the remaining RM8 million is the optional project price, and the solar modules will be provided by Nur Renewables.

The works are expected to be completed by 31 March 2025 and involve Samaiden Sdn Bhd and its consortium JS Solar Sdn Bhd. Nur Renewables is engaged in the power business in Malaysia and JS Solar focuses on non-electric solar collector installations.

Samaiden said the contract will make a positive contribution to future earnings.
