Penang will set up more industrial parks to meet investor demand

Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said that the Penang government plans to develop new international-level industrial parks with a total area of more than 323,749 hectares, including Cassia City Technology Park, East Batu Kawan and Penang South Science Park.

The government will pay special attention to the construction of medical technology centers, develop front-end manufacturing equipment supply chains, and encourage R&D and design activities. Chow Kon Yeow emphasized that the Penang government will support local companies to participate in global value chains and strengthen the ecosystem.

Regarding the financial zone proposal, he noted the need for a more comprehensive study and said federal support was crucial.
