Political stability attracts industrial giants to invest in Malaysia

Prime Minister Anwar said the political stability over the past year has attracted global industrial giants to invest in Malaysia, including Google, TikTok, Infineon, Geely and Tesla.

He pointed to political stability as key to attracting investment and said this provided companies with clear policies, including economic and industrial policy and the energy transition. Anwar expected Malaysia to make more progress in sustainable development practices and support the national energy transition roadmap. He also called for a change in the country’s image, emphasizing that the government will promote national change by attracting investors, managing the economy, training talents and implementing good governance.

At the same time, he emphasized that the country cannot tolerate corruption and funds must be used properly.
