MOTAC allocates additional RM2 million to promote TMM2024

The Malacca State Government has applied for an additional allocation of RM2 million from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) to promote Tourism Malacca Year 2024 (TMM2024).

Minister Teo Keng Sin said the move was aimed at supporting attracting tourists and boosting the state’s economy. He congratulated the Malacca executive councilors for their efforts and stressed that active overseas promotion will promote economic growth. Teo further expressed that MOTAC is willing to help other states achieve their tourism goals, including Perak, Perlis and Kelantan.

Malacca Chief Minister Abrauf Yuso welcomed the additional funding, stressing that its promotion and plans for TMM2024 will bring greater vitality. The event attracted 40,000 viewers and was broadcast live to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China.
