The second Malaysia-Australia Annual Leaders’ Meeting (ALM) was held in Melbourne

Malaysia and Australia held the second annual Malaysia-Australia Leaders’ Meeting (ALM) in Melbourne on Monday, the first face-to-face meeting since 2019 to strengthen ties between the two countries.

The meeting focused on cooperation in trade, investment, education, sports, digital economy and cybersecurity. The two Prime Ministers stated that the two sides will strengthen trade relations and enhance cooperation, and reiterated their commitment to strengthening existing cooperation, including on the vaccine ecosystem and clean energy transition.

They also emphasized their shared vision for an open, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific region and expressed their willingness to strengthen cooperation on economic opportunities, investment and development.
