UMW Toyota Motor Berhad is partnering with the Malaysian government to support the development of green technologies to achieve the 2050 carbon neutrality goal.

UMW Toyota will assist the government through various clean energy promotion channels and is committed to strengthening sustainable development. This was underlined today at a demonstration session on hydrogen-powered mobility solutions. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Minister of Science and Technology Zhang Likang attended the event and experienced hydrogen-powered vehicles.

UMW Toyota president Datuk Ravindran K said this is in line with the national energy transition roadmap and carbon neutrality goals, and demonstrates the advantages of Mirai technology, which uses fuel cells to generate electricity and emits only water. Mirai represents the potential of hydrogen as a sustainable energy mix in Malaysia.
