Digital payments and financial technology provider Ant International plans to establish a new digital business center in Malaysia with a focus on leveraging local technology talent to drive global business.

President Douglas Feagin said the center will create more than 500 jobs in the first year and will increase further in the next four years. Key positions include technology development, product design, data science and risk control. The company will invest resources in cultivating these talents and plans to move to The Exchange 106 in 2025. This move reflects Ant International’s long-term strategy of committing to local talent cultivation and technology development.

Since entering Malaysia in 2014, Ant International has been working with local partners to promote the development of fintech, facilitate digital payments, support digital inclusion and create opportunities for the local economy.

Ant International is a subsidiary of Ant Group and has four major business pillars: Alipay + cross-border mobile payment service, Ant merchant payment service, Worldfirst and ANEXT Bank.
