The Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) has launched the Airport Quality of Service (QoS) framework to assess the performance of airports and airlines in Malaysia.

The framework has been implemented at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminals 1 and 2 since September 2018 and is now being extended to other airports. This initiative aims to increase transparency and service standards and provide aviation stakeholders with key performance indicators, including flight on-time performance, flight cancellations and airport service quality.

Mavcom will gradually implement the framework at other airports to ensure continued improvement in service quality until full implementation in 2027.
