Maxis Bhd and Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) signed a memorandum of understanding for the 5G-Advanced (5.5G) acceleration program. They will collaborate to drive commercialization and 5.5G adoption in Malaysia, covering multiple areas.
The two companies will demonstrate the benefits of 5.5G through trials and testing and accelerate its acceptance. Maxis CEO said he looks forward to developing impactful solutions that provide a better customer experience. The CEO of Huawei Malaysia said that it is willing to cooperate with Maxis to expand the business horizons of 5.5G and demonstrate Malaysia’s leading position in digital infrastructure.
The statement also stated that the two companies will study future technology and spectrum evolution and support the development of 5.5G in line with government policies.
